  It takes me a very long time to find the perfect place for our family, as we only do this one time per year. I picked the perfect place! When we drove up and saw the log cabin, set in those beautiful pines, with the lake as a backdrop, we were hooked. Then we opened the door of the cabin, it was all ours! With the beautiful floor to ceiling fire place, warm knotty pine and logs, fun antiques everywhere and that lake view was spectacular, and we had a pontoon to use as well! Great places to eat close by. The management team was there for any questions and very nice to work with. Thank You for Sharing this Wonderful Hidden Gem!

  This cabin is great! Plenty of room for all 8 of us- full size fridge is a plus. Wished we had had the full check-in with someone greeting us at arrival (to also show pontoon workings) but was able to work around. A few more sets of kitchen rags/towels would have been nice as they get used a lot. Final contract is a bit confusing as it still refers to COVID protocols, so wasn't exactly sure what would be provided linen/towel-wise. A phone call cleared it up. Overall, pleasant stay.

  Cabin is very sweet. We requested a grill for steak fry and owner made it happen when we found no grill at our cabin. Extra effort by owner. Had plenty of room and cabin is clean. Good bathroom facilities that can handle 7 men. Prior to our visit owners kept us informed including asking if we could check in an hour latter so they could remove the new snow fall completely.

  We had a family reunion at Grand Pines in July 2022 - we couldn't have been happier about the entire experience! The cabin was amazing! Plenty of space for all that came; the pontoon boat was an added bonus. The location of resort/cabin was perfect for all the traveled.

  Beautiful rental cabin which was bright and sunshine filled. Cabin clean and in good shape. We requested a grill in middle of winter and they gave us a nice Weber which we cooked steaks on. We would recommend Grand Pines short drive to Hayward. Got to be fun in summer.

  We enjoyed our stay over New Year’s Eve in Cabin 29. The cabin was well maintained, cozy and comfortable. All of our party agreed that we’d like to come up again in the summer to enjoy the warm weather activities as well.
  
  The only comment I can make was that the COVID protocols changed the week before our stay and this was not communicated prior to the day of check in. I wish this new info had been reflected on our rental contract ahead of time. Despite this, the front desk did get us clarification on the policy prior to us driving up the morning of.

  We came up from Madison for an anniversary celebration. We had a blast playing pond hockey on the lake and skiing and snowshoeing. At night we sat around the dining room table drinking beer and playing cards. The house was perfect for us.

  Our family had a great time at Cabin 29 near Hayward. It was very family friendly for all of us. The pontoon led to much water fun for the grandkids. It might be time to replace the mattresses on the beds on the first floor and the sofa beds. The cabin lacked enough consumable supplies and kitchen towels(2) for 9 people for a week. We had to ask the help for more. After the second request, they were prompt in getting them to us.

  This is our 4th or 5th time staying at Grand Pines, though it’s been a number of years since our last visit. It was just like we remembered. Little Round Lake is beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Cabins are well appointed and feel like home away from home. The weather could’ve been a little warmer but that’s the gamble you take with a late fall visit.

  Cabin 29 is spacious and well laid out for a relaxing North woods stay. Clean and comfortable with both indoor and outdoor spaces for you and your group to enjoy. Kitchen has all housewares needed for indoor cooking, or grill outdoors. Spend time around the fire pit day or night, plenty of chairs to go around. Pontoon boat with rental is a great bonus, boat and dock are in great condition. We fished Little Round Lake and caught plenty of fish, Northern, smallmouth and 1 small Musky. Enjoyed the loons and a nesting pair of Eagles during our stay. Really nice golf courses nearby with many to choose from. The resort staff were great, friendly, professional, courteous and capable. Mandi, Dane and Mike to be specific, thanks all ! Several restaurants and bait shops nearby. We plan to return again next year. Our group rented 5 cabins total and all were exceptional, really !

  Very nice accommodations with plenty of room both inside and outside.All you need and more, just bring your food and beverages or dine at one of the nearby restaurants. Clean well kept cabins and pontoon boats. Good choice of golf courses in the area and good fishing. We dined at Prop's Landing each night, great food, friendly staff and nice atmosphere over looking Big Round Lake. Grand Pines has something to offer everyone, a really nice North woods stay. Plan to return again next year.

  We had seven of the eight siblings finally able to get together after 2 decades!. 50s & 60s are precious times to get together and reflect. There is no better place for family to go!!!!! The best! Large open area to congregate, big kitchen to create old family recipes, fantastic fireplaces to sit back and reminisce, fabulous screen porch overlooking the lake, a fireplace fit for an entire family!!!! What else would you need!??!!? Oh yah - a fantastic pontoon boat to relax on, sip drinks and talk about old times. We cant possibly replicate what we just experienced but I sure hope we try!
