Room 42

Grand Pines Motel includes ten motel rooms, located on Little Round Lake near Hayward, Wisconsin. These newly-remodeled motel rooms are the perfect lodging for everything from romantic getaways to outdoor escapes. Each of our comfortable, Northwood’s inspired rooms include two queen beds, a flat screen TV, a small refrigerator, microwave, a wet sink, a coffee maker, private deck off back, central air and whirlpool jets in the tub. Amenities

One bath with whirlpool jets, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, cable TV, coffee packs (one regular and one decaf, makes 4-cup pot), coffee filters, creamer, sugar/sweetener, all bed linens, one set of towels per person, sample size bath products, trash bags, hair dryer, iron, ironing board and private deck. We also have charcoal grills and fire pits for the motel guests to utilize. There is a boat launch onsite and we have extra piers should you bring your own boat.   Our stay in Unit 42 was fine. Nothing grand, but clean and was a place to sleep.
  
  Bathroom sink is slow to drain.
  The 4 small pillows took some getting used to. 2 felt like sacks of flour. There seems to be a tear in the top pf the left window drape. We did enjoy the shower/tub.
  
  The virtual experience is somewhat understandable but a little off-putting aloof. No contact with GP staff other than reservations. That felt a little sterile - but I guess that was the point.
  
  Years ago, we stayed in your cabins - guess you spoiled us with that.

  We love the motel as it gives our large family the options we need. We have some come Sat-Sat, Sun-Sun, Thurs-Sun, etc. We can have up to 30 people in 4 generations, so having our own space is nice. A group will rent the large unit which gives us access to the rec room and kitchen for large evening meals. Love little round and the access to big round or other close lakes.

  Overall, a very nice experience, and the setting is beautiful. However, we had trouble finding the office, which is not at the same location as the motel. The person in the office said that info was on our email confirmation. When I checked it, it was not there. They also had no sign on the motel telling us where to go to register

  Nice motel right on a pretty lake. Rustic interior, but recently remodeled, clean and nice. Large built-in drawers for clothes, fridge and microwave. Oversized tub/shower combo which was very nice. Only complaint is that the beds and pillows are old and musty and need replacement.
