Room 50

Grand Pines Motel includes ten motel rooms, located on Little Round Lake near Hayward, Wisconsin. These newly-remodeled motel rooms are the perfect lodging for everything from romantic getaways to outdoor escapes. Each of our comfortable, Northwood’s inspired rooms include two queen beds, a flat screen TV, a small refrigerator, microwave, a wet sink, a coffee maker, private deck off back, central air and whirlpool jets in the tub. Amenities

One bath with whirlpool jets, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, cable TV, coffee packs (one regular and one decaf, makes 4-cup pot), coffee filters, creamer, sugar/sweetener, all bed linens, one set of towels per person, sample size bath products, trash bags, hair dryer, iron, ironing board and private deck. We also have charcoal grills and fire pits for the motel guests to utilize. There is a boat launch onsite and we have extra piers should you bring your own boat.   The motel room was clean and decorated in north woods decor. It was very homey. The grounds were immaculate and well maintained. I have kayaked past this place many times over several summers and always thought it looked like a great place. I was not disappointed!
  
  Just a couple of things to note—the curtains were not working. One side was partially open and the other side was closed and neither side moved. Considering theses are room darkening, it would have been brighter had both sides been stuck open. I did get them to move after messing with it a little. Also, and this seemed very weird, is the outlets didn’t work all of the time. Example, the table lamp between the beds was plugged in to the upper socket. I plugged my CPAP into the bottom outlet and it wouldn’t work. I then plugged my CPAP into the top outlet and it worked. Then I plugged the lamp in the bottom socket and it worked. The next morning I switched the lamp and the CPAP, and the lamp didn’t work when plugged into the top socket. Similar experience with the outlet on the outside wall.
  
  All in all, we were very pleased with the place and wii, no doubt, go back again.

  First off, Mike is the "Best'! Communication was great with both Mike and Mandi prior to our arrival. We were fortunate enough to be able to schedule Noah as our fishing guide (money well spent).   My wife and I decided to go up to Hayward kind of at the last minute, Grand Pines had a room available and we didn't have the need for a cabin with it being just the two of us. The room was clean and comfortable, spacious, and had the smell of every cabin I've ever stayed at in Hayward as a kid. It was nostalgic. I gave the room 4/5 only because I think the room we had was a handicap accessible room, so it didn't have the advertised jetted tub. Everything else was perfect. The deck on the back of the room was great, very private. There was a big privacy fence between every room, and it was wooded right behind there so there wasn't foot traffic. The boat ramp was ok, and we the piers were nice. We were initially concerned with being able to tie up our 24ft bowrider, the pictures made it look pretty shallow but we had no issues, and had about 2 inches to spare getting underneath the bridge to Big Round Lake. It was very peaceful and quiet at the property. We are hoping to make this a yearly stay

Having the room unlocked was odd for us not knowing if someone else could have entered before our arrival, but all in all very easy check in and out system.   Accessible unit was beautiful, clean, and well designed. We thought we would be able to sit on the front deck and enjoy the view and read, but the front deck is for the large unit in front. We were not able to sit by the water because my husband was unable to get to it and there wasnt really a beach (perhaps due to the rains?..and we brought our own chairs). OMG we ate at a different place every night and each night had unbelievable food. Unable to fully lock the back door to the deck, but liked the deck and you could see the lake thru the trees if you sat next to the rail. Never saw any staff to interact with.

  The motel has everything you need. The lakeshore area is divided into sections between the surrounding cabins & the motel. Two concerns: 1) the room was dark, even during the day; & 2) we accidentally & surprisingly locked ourselves out of the room. Since there is no management on site, it took 3 hours to get the room unlocked. Keep your room key with you at all times.

  Four of us stayed several nights in a double queen hotel room of Grand Pines Resort. We had requested a handicapped room and were delighted that they were able to accomodate us.
  
  The motel portion of the resort is on "Little Round" Lake just off Hwy B, so it is very well located. The grounds are beautiful, peaceful and well maintained. Gorgeous pine trees, a playground area for children and nice docks. It is very close to the lov\cal Fish Tales Grill and the Props Restaurant which is on the main resort property on "Big Round" Lake - an easy walk to either.
  
  The room was very clean,had beautiful knotty pine, very comfortable beds plus a la-z-biy stle recliner, mini trfrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, nice TV, good lighting, a nice desk area and even a back door leading to a small, private patio area for our room - complete with a small table and chairs. Wonderful!
  
  Th walk-in shower was terrific. Good water pressure and a nice hand-held shower head control.
  
  The staff could not have been nicer when we checked in and when we left. Housekeeping was very attentive and we always had our beds freshly made, garbage cleared away and fresh towels.
  
  The location was perfect because we were not just focused on Hayward, but we also were exploring down Hwy B and K etc - so we liked being a bit out of Hayward proper.
  
  We will definitely return. Good value.

  We had a great night at the Grand Pines Motel. I let them know we would late and they turned the lights on for us. :) the room was beautiful. They have thought of everything. Loved the decor, the deck in the back was great too! I will be back again.

  The property was very nice and the lake was beautiful. The cabin was fine, kind of musty smelling but got a few deodorizers and it was fine. Also the cabin was a little dark even with all the lights on. But...we still had a great time and would go again!!
